Job Description/Responsibilities

Lead Online Retail acceleration globally across key developed markets, growing online sales faster than market and key competitors, and with the goal of closing the gap, increasing market share and reaching Sazerac fair share online in Global Spirits Industry.  

  • Develop and Drive the Global implementation of Sazerac Online Retail strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business goals.   Prioritize key markets for accelerated online growth. Partner with local sales teams to build win-win Joint Business Plans (eJBP) with Retailers and solid commercial activation calendars maximizing Sazerac brand priorities and Retailer’s key online sales moments.  
  • Create and master route-to-market plan and activations with key online players across 6 main business models: marketplaces/pureplayers, omnichannel and last mile as strategic for accelerated growth; eB2B, eTravel Retail and eLuxury as tactical depending on the brand and region. Advise local sales teams on TTC negotiations and right level of online COOP/MDF investments as levers to drive top line growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Media and CRM teams helping markets to implement performance campaigns that drive traffic and conversion; leveraging first party data and Retail Media capabilities from key online players.  Partner with Global Head of E-Merchandising & Digital Shelf to prepare global briefs and direction for E-Content master creation with “The Shop” (Sazerac Creative Team). Guide local markets and retailers with the syndication and implementation. 
  • Together with Local E-Sales teams and in addition to key responsibilities above, identify opportunities for growth and tailor the strategy to local conditions, regulations and online shopper behaviors. Help them for excellence on operations with online retailers and authorized distributors.  
  • Assess the latest e-commerce technologies, tools, and trends, implementing innovations that enhance Sazerac’s online retail capabilities.  Guide Global E-Business & Digital Analyst to leverage data, track KPIs and build comprehensive reporting to understand retail sales performance, ROI of our COOP/MDF investments with Retailers and online shoppers' preferences and behaviors.  
  • Utilize tools and self-development to learn and continuously improve specified competencies.    Utilize PDS system to identify places for self improvement in order to improve effectiveness at job and achieve goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications

 

  • 8 to 10 years relevant experience leading Online Retail acceleration; with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong proficiency with systems and data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve product offerings.
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, & project management skills
  • Mastery in managing internal stakeholders and extensive experience leading people through influence, where no direct reporting relationship exists.
  • Demonstrable expertise across main Online Retail business models: marketplaces/pureplayers, omnichannel, last mile, eB2B, eTR, eLuxury.
  • Demonstrable expertise building eJBP and solid partnerships with Retailers including TTCs negotiation and online COOP/MDF investments.
  • Solid experience across major E-Business Regions: North America, APAC and Europe
  • Valid Passport
  • Ability to travel (up to 15%)

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
