Job Description/Responsibilities

Sazerac - Global E-Merchandiser (CH)

Passionate about shaping how shoppers engage with brands online? As the E-Global Merchandiser, you'll take the lead in bringing the Sazerac portfolio to life across E-Commerce  platforms both for Online Retailers and Websites/E-Shops, ensuring that our products stand out and convert customers through optimized content and perfect digital shelf execution. This role will report to the Global Manager: E-Merchandising & Digital Shelf, also based in our Global Hub in Lucerne.

What You'll Be Responsible For in the Role:

  • Drive eCommerce Excellence: Execute a global e-merchandising strategy in collaboration with local sales teams, brand teams, internal and external agencies to ensure our products capture attention and drive sales.
  • Content Creation, Coordination and Briefing to Agencies: Work closely with The Shop, our  Sazerac’s Creative Team, to brief and develop online master content for both Online Retail, Websites/E-Shops, and other brand channels, ensuring that our digital presence is impactful and consistent.
  • Content Localization & Adaptation: Manage the adaptation and localization of content across all markets, partnering with agencies to meet local retailer specifications and shopper behaviors.
  • Content Syndication: Lead the implementation of content on retailer websites and brand online platforms, ensuring our products are represented accurately and compellingly across all digital touchpoints using Sazerac Syndication tools.
  • Performance Optimization: Track and analyze key performance metrics using e-monitoring and digital shelf tools to continually optimize merchandising strategies. Ensure product listings are accurate, complete, and optimized for search visibility and customer engagement.
  • Enhance Online Shopping Experience: Monitor the online shopping experience continuously, identifying opportunities to improve site navigation, product discovery, and overall user experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with brand, sales, creative, and IT teams to ensure a cohesive and unified approach to digital merchandising that aligns with broader company goals.
  • Industry & Trend Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to drive innovation and keep our eCommerce strategies ahead of the curve.
  • Inventory & Logistics Coordination: Partner with inventory and logistics teams to ensure accurate stock levels and timely product availability on E-Shops and Branded websites platforms, supporting a seamless shopping experience.
  • Support Local e-Sales: Provide support to local e-sales teams with online retail operations as needed, ensuring consistency across all digital channels.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all product listings and digital content adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and best practices, maintaining our brand’s integrity online.
  • Omnichannel Alignment: Collaborate with Shopper Marketing teams to align digital and in-store experiences, creating a seamless and integrated omnichannel experience for our customers.

Qualifications/Requirements

REQUIREMENTS to be Successful in this Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in charge of E-Merchandising & Digital Shelf for Global brands
  • True digital global e-merchandising experience in key regions is mandatory-priority regions are North America, Europe and APAC
  • Online Retail experience is mandatory-70% of the work will be for Global Retailers in key regions (Amazon, Tmall, JD, Walmart, Tesco, etc.) in partnership with local sales teams
  • Experience with E-Content/E-merchandising for Global Websites & E-Shops is a strong nice to have since will represent 30% of the work
  • Demonstrable expertise creating best in class briefings for e-content and e-merchandising assets creating is mandatory. This point to be carefully assessed during the interview process
  • Hands-on experience with managing and optimizing product listings on e-commerce platforms being the main partner of local sales and brands teams
  • Solid expertise on digital shelf optimization, e-business platforms, content creation, management and syndication systems, and e-monitoring tools
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and Content Design programs for minor adjustments when required
  • Proven ability to collaborate with Shopper Marketing teams to align digital and in-store experiences
  • Strong skills managing internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, especially wiring with Sales, Brand, Shopper Marketing and Creative Teams
  • Exceptional project and time management and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and highest standards of quality for content delivery across regions, markets and retailers
  • Previous experience in FMCG, Spirits or Beverages a plus
  • Strong communication skills
