Procurement Director - Corporate & Professional Services

The Marketing and Corporate Services Procurement Director is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across Marketing and all indirect categories supporting Sazerac’s enterprise functions — including Corporate, IT, HR, and Travel & Entertainment. The role ensures best-in-class supplier performance, cost efficiency, and risk management. Partnering closely with functional leaders, the Senior Manager drives value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category strategies for Marketing and Corporate Services, aligned with business objectives
• Lead sourcing, negotiating, and contracting (MSAs, SoWs, and SLAs) for Marketing, covering media, research, Point-of-Sales and similar services and goods
• Lead sourcing, negotiating, and contracting (MSAs, SoWs, and SLAs) for corporate insurance, legal, audit and consulting services, IT software and hardware, HR programs (benefits, contingent labor, relocation), and travel management
• Drive procurement initiatives that deliver cost savings, supplier innovation, and risk mitigation
• Establish governance, KPIs, and scorecards to monitor supplier performance and contract compliance
• Support Sazerac policy adherence, process standardization, and technology adoption
• Conduct market analyses and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and continuous improvement
• Partner with Marketing and Sales to deliver best marketing return on investments
• Partner with Legal, Finance, IT, and HR stakeholders to identify demand and design sourcing solutions
• Manage the Corporate & Professional Services Procurement team, leading, coaching, and developing category specialists to strengthen sourcing capabilities and build a sustainable talent pipeline
• Ensure alignment with Sazerac’s values, including ethics, sustainability, and supplier diversity

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, or related discipline
• 8+ years of progressive procurement or category management experience in Marketing and indirect services, with strong exposure to at least two of the following domains: IT, HR, corporate / professional services, or travel
• Demonstrated ability to develop category strategies, manage suppliers, and negotiate complex contracts
• Strong analytical, commercial, and relationship management skills
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally (e.g., with Marketing, Legal or Finance teams) and excellent communication and presentation skills (incl. executive-level stakeholder mgmt.)
• Proficiency with procurement tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in alcohol beverage industry or CPG overall
• Master’s degree or professional certifications (cpsm, cips, cscp)
• Prior experience in a global or multi-site organization, ideally within cpg or beverage manufacturing
• Prior leadership experience managing (cross-functional) teams
• Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., data privacy, insurance, contingent labor)
• Experience implementing procurement systems (e.g., sap ariba, oracle, coupa)
